The Medical Courier is will work hand-in-hand with our local lab in the Social Services Department to pick up and deliver medical specimens, medical equipment, and other related items to various locations in rural Nevada, Reno, and Carson City. The Medical Courier represents the County Laboratory in a professional manner working with medical providers across Nevada. The position is based in Fallon, and will make regular trips to Pershing County (Lovelock), Mineral County (Hawthorne), and Eureka County... and anywhere else pick ups and deliveries are needed. The vehicle to be operated is a normal car or light duty truck. The person who is in this position must be able to plan the route and find directions using GPS maps and, because there is medical information involved, the person must good at keeping information confidential. And, because this is a safety-sensitive position, the Medical Courier must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing (including testing for marijuana and THC).

Position Summary: Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering medical items (including supplies, records, equipment, and blood and urine specimens) via automobile between various locations, including multiple sites in rural Nevada.
